Lieven Van Overbeke

Lieven Van Overbeke was born in Waregem on 1 January 1971.

 

He went to school at the Sint-Jozefsinstituut in Kortrijk, completing his secondary education in 1989 in the Classical Languages curriculum.

 

He graduated with a Master of Laws from KU Leuven with distinction on 7 July 1994. After a supplementary specialisation course, he also graduated with a master’s degree in Notarial Law from KU Leuven with distinction on 7 July 1995.

 

He was called to the bar in the judicial district of Kortrijk on 1 October 1995. He worked at the law firm Advocatenkantoor Hoste (previously Bourgeois – Hoste) in Izegem for 22 years. In 2017 he joined Trius Advocaten.

 

Within the firm, he mainly specialises in contracting law, commercial (contract) law, seizure of property law, traffic law, rental and commercial leasing.
